At myLifePool we create partnerships with local businesses whose services we are proud to endorse, as we believe they offer value to our members.
Studies have shown that word of mouth and personal recommendations are the cheapest and most effective forms of advertising – and this is what the myLifePool (mLP) community offers.

Our goal is to create a mutually beneficial relationship between the mLP social enterprise, your business and our members. Through our triangle of loyalty, we reach your ideal customers and whilst promoting the importance of supporting local, we drive them to you, bringing you custom and ultimately regenerating our highstreets and boosting our local economy.

This opportunity is based on the theory of ‘givers gain’. You give a discount or offer, along with good service and you gain loyal customers and the financial rewards and personal recommendations that you need for your business to thrive.

Offer Guidelines

The intention of the offer or discount is to drive business to you and in turn, create loyal customers from the mLP community. This system will only be effective if the offer is attractive, appealing and competitive to other businesses in the same market as your own.  Therefore, it is in your interest to make that special offer or discount as valuable and exclusive as possible.

Whilst we are unable to offer total exclusivity and will not turn away any valuable promotions to our members, we aim to be loyal to all our local partners that provide appealing incentives to work with us. We take time, where we can, to work with our preferred partners to contribute to creating opportunities to introduce our members to their business.

We provide marketing and point of sale materials that you can use to let people know that you are proud to be a part of the mLP community.

Proof of mLP membership

It is important that you check that the customer is eligible to redeem the mLP discount with you. It is therefore crucial that you communicate the offer to your staff so that people can easily access the discount and feel like a valued customer when they produce their Virtual ID.

The mLP membership system provides our members with a virtual membership card which displays their membership profile picture, their name, and the month that their membership is valid for.  We accept proof of membership either on a device or with a paper copy. It is the responsibility of the mLP member to provide you with this identification in order to obtain their discount and without it, you must refuse.

Changing or Terminating Your Offer

If you choose to change your offer or terminate your relationship with mLP, we require a minimum of 72 hours of notice.  This must be done in writing by email. This allows our administration team enough time to communicate the change to our members and to maintain goodwill.

Negative Experiences

This can be a tricky one.  We can all experience negativity from time to time and it can be frustrating and hurtful.  However, at mLP we aim to deal with it positively, by working together to understand why a negative experience has occurred.  We believe that by being understanding and non-judgmental, we can work together to use a negative experience to instigate a positive change, something that strengthens relationships, rather than damages them and improves future experiences for everyone.

We actively encourage our members to get in touch with us if they have experienced an issue with one of our partners, giving us the opportunity to investigate it and work with you to rectify it.
